Jury Presidents announced

Pawel Heinze, President of Single Channel Jury, Executive Creative Director, Leo Burnett Warsaw, Poland, said:

“Golden Drum is the festival that celebrates »genuis loci«, the spirit of the place, different cultures and their unique perspectives, local values and national pride. In this sense, the festival is vital for the advertising industry in our part of the globe. It serves to recognize imaginative minds and brilliant craftsmen from central European countries – a region teeming with fresh, bold ideas. Golden Drum is about bringing those ideas to light for all to see.

The values and beliefs that Golden Drum stands for should be sustained and preserved. But celebrating creativity mustn’t mean celebrating adland. I want to encourage creative minds to escape the trap of a hermetic world in which ads entice art directors, but hardly anyone else. Let’s focus on real people, real brands and real roles they play in people’s lives. That’s the flesh and blood of our industry, as well as its future.

Let’s highlight and salute brave, intelligent, human-centred ideas. Ideas which amuse people; which engage them, inspire and make life better; which extend a value people, clients and we can instantly recognize. I believe this way the advertising industry in our region can gain the strength and reputation it should be renowned for. Let’s think big.”

Michael Kutschinski, President of the Multi Channel Jury, Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy&Mather – OgilvyOne Germany, said:

"I am more than excited to go and see the creative work of the New Europe. Change is our lifeblood is one of my favourite David Ogilvy statements. The New Europe is an emblem of change. I am looking forward to see the best of the best Multi Channel work.

To Whom It May Concern – if you enter work please think about us – the jury members. We are your friends. We are not your clients. Do not tell us “the first ever of the world” – bla bla. We want to see outstanding work and unexpected creative ideas. And we want to have fun and get inspired by your thoughts."
