Information about the Earthquake in Japan:

The recent disaster in Japan has had a significant impact on Honda’s operations. A separate summary explaining the impact and Honda’s response will be issued shortly. 1. Vaillant and Honda present micro-combined heat and power system for domestic use

In February, Vaillant, the heating and ventilation specialist and Honda presented a new micro-combined heat and power (mCHP) system for Europe. It is the first European system with highly efficient gas engine technology for use in single-family homes. The mCHP system simultaneously produces environment-friendly heat and electricity and will be available in Germany by mid-year under the product name Vaillant ecoPOWER 1.0.

2. Honda EV Concept and Plug-in Hybrid Platform featured at Geneva International Motor Show 2011

The all-new Honda EV Concept electric vehicle was displayed in Geneva in March, alongside a platform for mid size plug-in hybrid vehicles. The concepts were shown as part of Honda’s "Road to Zero Emissions", illustrating the current technology of hybrids alongside the near-future technology of plug-in vehicles and the ultimate goal of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles, like Honda’s FCX Clarity.

3. The New Honda Accord Debuted at Geneva

The revised Honda Accord sedan and Tourer models made their debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Both cars receive a host of changes with the styling, emissions, ride and handling all enhanced for 2011.

Changes include:
· Revised exterior styling and detail changes to interior finishes
· Improvements to emissions and economy on all engines (138 g/km 2.2 i-DTEC introduced)
· Ride and handling improvements for all models
· Auto High-Beam Support System and Active Cornering Lights debut on Accord
· 180 PS Type S model now available across Europe with bespoke interior and exterior styling

4. Honda Motor Europe Executive Vice President, Mr. Ken Keir, speaks at Geneva Motor Show 2011

Honda Motor Europe Executive Vice President, Mr. Ken Keir spoke at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show on the following areas:
· Electric drive technology as the key to CO2 reduction
· Honda’s continued efforts to expand and develop its hybrid technology
· Honda’s Plug-in hybrid system and EV Concept making their European debut
· An outline of Honda’s four part journey to zero emissions

5. Notice Concerning Management Changes

In February, the Board of Directors of Honda Motor Co., Ltd. decided a plan for changes to its management. Those changes are subject to approval at the General Meeting of Shareholders of the Company scheduled to be held in late June 2011 and/or decision at the meeting of the Board of Directors to be held immediately thereafter. 6. Honda Ranked Number One on ACEEE’s "Greenest Vehicles of 2011" List for the Eleventh Year in a Row

In February, five Honda vehicles earned recognition from the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) as being among the "greenest vehicles of 2011" with the natural gas-powered Civic GX earning the title of America’s greenest vehicle for the eighth time. The Civic Hybrid and Insight were also included on the list of ACEEE’s 12 most environmentally responsible vehicles available to the public. In addition, the CR-Z sporty hybrid coupe and Odyssey minivan were named as the "greenest vehicles" within their respective classes. This is the 11th year in a row that a Honda vehicle has received the number one ranking and the 13th straight year that multiple Honda vehicles have been named in the top 12.
