•    Jutta Bernhard is the first female in the Jury

AUTOBEST Jury welcomes Jutta Bernhard, the owner of the distinguished “Global Press Nachrichten-Agentur und Informationsdienste GmbH”, as the new member representing Germany. She replaces Thomas Geiger.

“We are very happy to welcome Jutta as the new representative of Germany in AUTOBEST Jury, the largest independent motoring Jury of Europe. Jutta is a leading writer of Germany. She has an energetic approach of the motoring media, she’s providing automotive news to a very impressive number of media outlets and people following the car industry. With her, we do another premiere in AUTOBEST history, as Jutta is the first female member of the Jury. We also want to thank Thomas for his activities in the Jury and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.” stated Dan Vardie, Founder and Chairman of AUTOBEST organization.

On her acceptance as a Jury member, Jutta Bernhard said: “I am very proud to represent Germany in the AUTOBEST Jury. The independent organization of opinion leaders is as important for Germany as it is for Europe.”

On his turn, Thomas Geiger added: „I have enjoyed working together with a great group of colleagues from all over Europe and to see things from other angles. But to focus even more on my work for so many editors, it’s time to move on and give my seat in the jury to Jutta Bernhardt.“

Jutta Bernhard membership is coming into force from now on. Consequently, she will participate to all the AUTOBEST Jury related activities, effective immediately. More info on www.autobest.org.


The AUTOBEST organization was established in 2001 with the revolutionary concept of “best buy car” available on the European market. A total of 31 European nations is represented in the Jury, covering the vast majority of the European population. It is largest independent motoring Jury of Europe by the number of represented countries.  For a car to become an AUTOBEST winner, it must represent the best offering for most European customers. Price, service network, spare parts distribution and versatility are the most important criteria in the voting process. Design and new technologies are becoming important criteria for voting. AUTOBEST uses a transparent voting system, with a complex matrix of 13 criteria to decide the winner.
