TVR detine prima optiune a drepturilor tv pentru Liga Campionilor

UEFA a anunţat oficial că Televiziunea Română a câştigat licitaţia pentru drepturile de televizare în România a primei opţiuni din Liga Campionilor – meciurile din zilele de marţi şi miercuri în exclusivitate şi rezumatele tuturor partidelor -, precum şi drepturile de televizare pentru semifinale şi finală. De asemenea, TVR deţine drepturile tv pentru Supercupa Europei, meci care opune câştigătoarea Ligii Campionilor şi câştigătoarea Cupei UEFA. TVR şi UEFA au semnat contractul pentru o perioadă de trei ani, incluzând sezoanele 2009-2010, 2010-2011 şi 2011-2012. Câştigătorul licitaţiei privind drepturile tv din Liga Campionilor a fost anunţat luni, 31 martie 2008, de către TEAMM, repezentantul UEFA. TVR a mai difuzat Liga Campionilor de la înfiinţare, din anul 1992, până în anul 1999.

De asemenea, TVR deţine drepturile de televizare a celor mai importante competiţii sportive la nivel european şi mondial: Campionatul European de Fotbal 2008 din Elveţia şi Austria, Cupa Confederaţiilor 2009 din Africa de Sud, Campionatul Mondial de Fotbal 2010 din Africa de Sud şi Campionatul Mondial de Fotbal 2014 din Brazilia, Formula 1 – sezoanele din 2008, 2009, 2010 -, Jocurile Olimpice 2008 de la Beijing, Campionatele Europene de Gimnastică 2008, Jocurile Olimpice 2012 de la Londra, Jocurile Olimpice de Iarnă 2010 din Canada (Vancouver), Jocurile Olimpice de Iarnă din 2014 din Rusia (Soci) şi altele.

UEFA Champions League 2009-12 Media Rights deals announced in Romania

TVR and Boom TV awarded packages of rights for 2009-2012

UEFA today announced the award of the media rights for the UEFA Champions League 2009-12 and UEFA Super Cup 2009, 2010, 2011 in Romania to TVR and Boom TV.

After the first round of bidding, Boom TV was awarded Pay TV rights packages including exclusive coverage of all live matches on a Tuesday and Wednesday other than the first choice match on each night. In addition, Boom TV will show non-exclusive highlights on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and a weekly magazine programme.

Coverage will be on the Pay TV channel Boom Sport One as well as other Boom Sport branded channels on Boom TV’s premium DTH platform. The rights will also be exploited via the Internet on www.boomextra.ro and on mobile.

TVR was the winner of a second round of bidding that focused upon the first choice live matches on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It will show the live matches on its free-to-air channel TVR 1 as well as showing highlights on both nights and a weekly magazine programme on a combination of TVR 1 and TVR 2. These rights will be exploited across all broadcast platforms – on the Internet via www.tvr.ro and on wap.tvr.ro, TVR’s mobile portal.
