Piran Portorož Poster Award deadline is extended until Tuesday, August 30, 2011

Golden Drum Festival and the Mayor of Piran announce Piran Portorož Poster Award (PPPA) competition for the most creative poster. Young creatives, under age of 30, that come from countries of New Europe* are invited to participate. The author of the best poster will be awarded a prize of 4.000 euro and a personal registration for Golden Drum Festival 2012. Deadline for the PPPA competition is August 30, 2011. Piran Portorož Fiction

Many great themes have already been selected, yet many participants of this contest know Piran and Portorož only indirectly. That is why we are encouraging everyone to imagine, to fantasize and to be creative by placing your own fantasy images in a place, an image or spirit of the place all the way from famous Sečovlje Salina to Piran.

Brief

Create posters for a famous novel or movie that is especially dear to you, but place it in Piran & Portorož. As an inspiration for your creative work, you may use photos, found at //www.goldendrum.com/competition/off-drum/, your own photo material, illustration or fictional image. You can enter Piran Portorož Poster Awards without any registration fee. Only Young Drummers under 30 years old (born after 8th October 1981) and from countries of New Europe* are eligible to compete.

Jury

Works will be evaluated by a five member Jury, lead by Adrian Botan, Regional Creative Director for CEE at McCann Erickson, Partner and Executive Creative Director of McCann Erickson Bucharest, Romania and members Aljoša Bagola, Executive Creative Director, Pristop, Slovenia, Yigal Baron, Managing Director of the Israeli Advertising Association, Israel, Svetlana Ćopić, Creative Director, New Moment New Ideas Company Y&R Belgrade, Serbia and Vera Stanković, Creative Director, Sonce.net, Slovenia.

Awards

The author of the best poster will receive 4.000 EUR from the Municipality of Piran and one full registration for the Golden Drum Festival 2012. The authors of the second and third ranked posters will each receive one full registration for the Golden Drum Festival 2012. All shortlisted posters will be exhibited in the beautiful Tartini Square in Piran, from October 5 to 8, 2011 during the 18th Golden Drum Festival.

* only authors from the following countries can participate in the PPPA competition: Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
