The Golden Drum Festival and Berlin School of Creative Leadership announced the recipient of the Berlin School & Golden Drum "Dragan Sakan Scholarship". The scholarship, open to accomplished senior creative executives from Central and Eastern Europe, was established to honour of the achievements of the late Dragan Sakan, the founder and creative director of New Moment holding company.

The successful applicant, Uros Gorican, Creative Strategist at Saatchi & Saatchi, Ljubljana, will receive full tuition support for the Berlin School Executive MBA in Creative Leadership program starting September 4th 2011 in Berlin.

"We, at the Golden Drum Festival, are delighted to award the scholarship to Uros Gorican", remarks Barbara Krajnc, Executive Director of the Golden Drum Festival, "I am sure Uros will benefit greatly from this excellent career development opportunity. On the other hand, Uros will for sure contribute his creative mind and ideas to the Berlin School and his classmates. Our joint partnership has proven the ability to recognise and reward talent and potential of future Creative Leaders".

Upon receiving the scholarship for 2011, Mr. Uros Gorican stated, "It is a very special honour to win the Golden Drum’s Dragan Sakan scholarship. Both Golden Drum festival and Dragan Sakan are two of the most distinguished landmarks on the creative map of the Balkan area. They both succeeded in drawing the attention of the rest of the world to the unique creative potential this part of Europe has to offer".

"I am extremely grateful to have won the scholarship. I have been following the Berlin School from its very beginning and to be able to get there is just simply brilliant. I would like to thank Mr Conrad and the committee for this honour and I am looking forward to the unique experience I believe this is going to be".

"As we all live in very challenging times for the creative industries it is essential to understand how technology driven changes in content creation and media consumption on one hand and economic crisis on other are forcing the industry to form new business models and relationship between players. And being part of this new »New Moment« makes it all very exciting".
